Nebraska Man Pulled Over for Driving with Bull in Car

A Nebraska man was pulled over by police on Wednesday after he was seen driving with a large bull in the passenger seat of his car.

The man, identified as Lee Meyer of Neligh, was driving eastbound on Highway 275 when he was stopped by officers from the Norfolk Police Department.

The officers were initially called to the scene by another driver who reported seeing a car with a cow in it. When they arrived, they found Meyer’s car, which had been modified to accommodate the bull.

The car had half of its roof removed and a gate placed where the passenger door should be. The bull was tied to the gate railing, which held a sign that read, “Nebraska’s Big Rodeo Parade: Best Car Entry.”

The officers issued Meyer a warning for violating some safety rules. He was allowed to drive away after he agreed to take the bull home and leave the city.

Meyer told the officers that the bull’s name is Howdy Doody. He said that he had been driving Howdy Doody to a rodeo when he was pulled over.

This is not the first time that Meyer has been in trouble for driving with Howdy Doody. In 2021, he was cited for driving with an animal in the passenger seat without a restraint.
