USDA Recalls 16,000+ Pounds of Ground Beef Over E. coli Concerns

Payam Javan: The USDA initiates a recall of 16,000+ pounds of raw ground beef due to potential E. coli contamination.

The recall, announced by the FSIS on May 1, underscores health risks linked to E. coli infection, particularly for vulnerable demographics. Cargill Meat Solutions, based in Pennsylvania, issues the recall affecting Walmart stores nationwide.

The affected products, under the “All Natural” brand, were produced between April 26 and April 27, with specific lot codes and establishment numbers. The recall follows Cargill Meat Solutions’ discovery of mixed products in ground beef production.

No sicknesses have been reported, but consumers are advised to refrain from consuming the products and to return or discard them.
