Payam Javan: Federal authorities have arrested Tracy Marie Fiorenza, a 41-year-old woman from the Chicago area, following allegations that she sent threatening emails expressing her intent to harm former President Donald Trump and his son Barron. Fiorenza was apprehended on charges of transmitting threats to kill or injure, as confirmed by the U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago. The case, officially filed this month in the U.S. District Court in southern Florida, centers around emails Fiorenza sent to an educational institution in Palm Beach, Florida.

In one email dated May 21, Fiorenza allegedly stated, “I will shoot Donald Trump Sr. AND Barron Trump straight in the face at any opportunity I get!” It is worth noting that President Trump’s primary residence is located in Palm Beach. Another email on June 5 reportedly mentioned Fiorenza’s intention to “slam a bullet” into Barron “with his father IN SELF DEFENSE!” These details come from an affidavit submitted by a U.S. Secret Service agent.

The charging documents do not disclose the identity of the educational institution or its head to whom the emails were sent. At present, Fiorenza’s legal representation remains uncertain, and there is no attorney listed for her on the federal docket. CBS News Chicago reports that Fiorenza appeared in a U.S. District Court in Chicago on Monday and was directed by a judge to address the charges at the district court in Florida. A hearing scheduled for Wednesday will determine the logistics of her transfer.

Agents interviewed Fiorenza at the U.S. Secret Service’s Chicago field office on June 14, during which copies of the threatening emails were presented to her. Fiorenza is said to reside in Plainfield, a suburb southwest of Chicago, Illinois.
