The Carter Center announced her death on Sunday, with family members at her side. Born in 1927 in Plains, Georgia, she overcame early challenges, graduated, and married Jimmy Carter at 18.

The couple’s 77-year partnership took them from a peanut farm to the White House, leaving a lasting impact on American history.

  According to a recent prediction from the state's independent Legislative Analyst's Office, California is on track to have so much money that state officials will likely have to give even more of it back to taxpayers to meet constitutional spending limits
