Female activists go on trial in Saudi Arabia after nearly one year in detention

TEHRAN, Mar 13 – A group of Saudi women’s rights activists have appeared in court following a detention period of about one year without a charge or trial in a case that has ratcheted up scrutiny of the kingdom’s human rights record in the wake of the killing of dissident journalist Jamal Khashoggi.
