Vancouver-born home renovation stars Jonathan and Drew Scott, better known as the Property Brothers, are returning to their hometown this fall to film one of their television shows. The brothers have become major figures in the home improvement and reality television industry, with their programs now broadcast in more than 100 countries.
Ahead of their return, producers are searching for Vancouver-area homeowners who are willing to have parts of their homes renovated while appearing on television. According to the casting call, the production will work within each home’s existing footprint to create “fresh, functional, and budget-conscious spaces” featuring the signature Property Brothers makeover style.
Applicants must have a minimum renovation budget of $90,000, with the project expected to cover between two and four spaces in the home. The production is not looking for properties requiring structural changes or permits, meaning major additions such as new rooms or carriage houses will not be part of the renovation.
Selected homeowners must also be prepared to leave their homes for eight to 10 weeks and be available for filming this fall. Producers expect participants to commit to approximately eight days of filming and are seeking homeowners with engaging personalities who are comfortable embracing creative renovation ideas alongside Drew, Jonathan and their team.
Each participating home will require two people to appear on camera, meaning homeowners applying alone will need to bring a “sidekick.” The property must be located in or near Vancouver, giving local residents an opportunity to have their homes transformed by two of the city’s most recognizable television personalities.
