The outage, beginning around 2 p.m. in the United States, caused problems such as inability to view recent posts or create new ones. Thousands of complaints were logged, with WhatsApp receiving over 10,000 reports within the first half hour.

Meta confirmed the outage and later announced that all issues had been resolved. However, Ads Manager Status and other services still face problems. Meta attributed the outage to disruptions in platform ads transparency tools. This incident is not isolated, as similar outages have occurred in the past, impacting millions of users.
