Payam Javan: The U.S. military conducted precision self-defense strikes in eastern Syria against locations linked to Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).

Biden directed these strikes in response to ongoing attacks by Iranian-backed militia groups on U.S. personnel in Iraq and Syria since October 17. While the specific targets were not disclosed, the Pentagon emphasized the strikes were aimed at protecting U.S. personnel and interests.
