Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Andrew McCarthy said Friday that while rhetoric from Republicans and Democrats questioning the credibility of the FBI is “disturbing,” the country’s top cops handled their role in the 2016 presidential elections “pretty poorly” and says former FBI directors should keep their opinions on current investigations to themselves.
