Payam Javan: President-elect Donald Trump unveiled several new members of his White House team, set to be led by Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, according to a statement from his transition team on Saturday. Among the notable appointments is attorney Stanley Woodward, who will serve as assistant to the president and senior counselor. Woodward, co-founder of Brand Woodward Law, has represented high-profile Trump associates, including Dan Scavino and Peter Navarro, in legal matters tied to classified documents and the January 6 Capitol breach. Woodward also boasts a background in defending international corporations against U.S. Foreign Corrupt Practices Act allegations and has received recognition for his pro bono work aiding tenants facing eviction.
Other appointees include former Trump administration aides returning to key roles. Robert Gabriel Jr., a former Fox News associate producer and policy advisor, will serve as assistant to the president for policy. Nicholas Luna, who was Trump’s personal aide in his first term, will take on the role of deputy chief of staff for strategic implementation, managing presidential scheduling and communications. William “Beau” Harrison, who played a critical role in coordinating international visits during Trump’s first term, has been reappointed as assistant to the president and deputy chief of staff for operations. These appointments underscore Trump’s reliance on experienced allies as he prepares to assume office on January 20.
