Trump Announces Successful U.S. Attack on Iranian Nuclear Sites

Payam Javan: In a bold escalation, President Donald Trump announced that the U.S. military conducted precision strikes on three Iranian nuclear facilities—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—on Saturday night, effectively joining Israel’s ongoing campaign to neutralize Iran’s nuclear capabilities. Trump described the operation as a “spectacular military success,” claiming the strikes “completely obliterated” Iran’s key uranium enrichment sites, aimed at halting the nuclear threat posed by Tehran, which he labeled the “world’s number one state sponsor of terror.” The attack involved B-2 stealth bombers dropping massive bunker-buster bombs on Fordow and Tomahawk missiles launched from U.S. submarines targeting Natanz and Isfahan.

The strikes have sparked global concern, with Iran’s Atomic Energy Organization condemning the attack as a violation of international law and vowing to continue its nuclear program. Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi warned of “everlasting consequences,” while Tehran launched retaliatory missile strikes on Israel, injuring at least 16 people. The U.S. has braced for further Iranian reprisals, with Trump warning that any retaliation would be met with “far greater force.”
