Around Saturday night, a storm that is now in the Pacific Ocean will move into the Sacramento region as part of a cold front and more precipitation is anticipated.

Sacramento could receive around half an inch of rain, and higher elevations of the Sierra Nevada could receive as much as 2 feet of snow.
