Payam Javan: Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) has claimed that the Department of Justice intended to assassinate former President Donald Trump. Her assertion came following reports that deadly force was authorized during the FBI’s 2022 search of Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate.

Greene expressed her outrage on social media, accusing the Biden administration of greenlighting an assassination plan against Trump. She criticized fellow Republicans for not taking action and blamed Democrats for preventing her from ousting the House Speaker who, she claimed, funded the DOJ and FBI.

Documents revealed that the Biden administration had approved the use of deadly force during the FBI’s operation to retrieve classified documents. However, the FBI maintained that standard protocols were followed, with no extraordinary measures taken.

An Operations Order from Special Counsel Jack Smith’s investigation confirmed that the FBI’s objective was to seize classified information and government records. The agents were equipped with standard issue weapons and other equipment but instructed to wear plain clothes and keep their gear concealed.

Trump reacted to the news on Truth Social, denouncing the raid as unconstitutional and calling President Biden a threat to democracy, urging for his removal under the 25th Amendment.
