If he wins the 2024 presidential election, Donald Trump has started he will assign Gen. Michael Flynn as his national security adviser

Payam Javan: Former President Donald Trump has announced his intention to reassign Gen. Michael Flynn as his national security adviser if he wins the 2024 presidential election. Flynn, who received a pardon from Trump in 2020 after admitting to misleading the FBI about conversations with Russia’s ambassador, was present at the ReAwaken America rally held at Trump’s Doral estate in South Florida on May 13. Trump made the announcement over his cell phone during the rally, generating excitement among the crowd. However, it remains unclear in what capacity Flynn would serve if reinstated.

On the same day, Trump’s planned outdoor engagement in Iowa was postponed due to concerns about tornadoes. The event in Iowa was expected to feature other notable speakers such as Sidney Powell, Mike Lindell, and Roger Stone. Eric Trump, the former president’s son, was also present at the ReAwaken America rally in South Florida.

As the front-runner for the Republican Party, Donald Trump has publicly announced his intention to compete in the upcoming 2024 presidential election. While his plans for Gen. Michael Flynn’s role in his administration are not yet specified, Trump’s announcement has sparked interest and speculation about the potential composition of his national security team if he were to be elected.
