Payam Javan: When questioned on Nov. 15 whether the FBI had secret spies among former-President Donald Trump’s supporters on Jan. 6, 2021, the FBI director not to respond.
Christopher Wray, the director and a Trump appointee, was questioned by Rep. Clay Higgins during a hearing in Washington. The opportunity for Higgins to question Wray and other members of the Biden administration then ended.
Christine Abizaid, Alejandro Mayorkas and Wray, all gave testimony before the House Homeland Security Committee on Capitol Hill.
Although court documents show that a number of sources were embedded with the Oath Keepers and other groups whose members took part in the Capitol breach, the FBI has never officially admitted that it had secret sources or undercover agents in the crowd on January 6. Also, officials have not responded to inquiries on films that depict Capitol doors opening on January 6 and allowing people inside.
