Payam Javan: An article published in the Western Journal criticizes Joe Biden and his team for neglecting international affairs and says the US administration is allowing China credit for mediating an important step towards reconciliation between Iran and Saudi Arabia.
The author highlights that the mutual contempt and animosity between the two Middle Eastern nations has been a symbol of the problems in that region for a long time, and world leaders have always prioritized long-term peace between them. However, the first move towards any form of reconciliation can now be credited to China, thanks to the Biden administration’s complete neglect of its responsibilities in regards to international affairs that do not involve Ukraine.
According to reports from the Iranian news agency and the Saudi state-run Saudi Press Agency, the two nations have agreed to resume diplomatic relations and reopen embassies following discussions that China facilitated.
