Presley Gerber, the 27-year-old son of supermodel Cindy Crawford and businessman Rande Gerber, has died, according to the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office. Presley died on Sept. 20 at a rehabilitation facility. The cause of death has not been publicly determined.

A representative for Crawford and Gerber confirmed his death and asked for privacy for the family during what they described as an extremely difficult and painful time. Presley was the older brother of model and actress Kaia Gerber, and the family had remained prominent in the fashion and entertainment industries.

Presley followed his mother into modeling, making his runway debut with Italian luxury fashion house Moschino. He later worked with major brands including Bottega Veneta, Tommy Hilfiger, Burberry, Ralph Lauren and Dolce & Gabbana. His modeling career began at age 15 after he signed with IMG Models, and he subsequently appeared in campaigns for Calvin Klein, Omega and Pepsi.

In recent years, Presley had also spoken publicly about mental health awareness. Through a series of Instagram videos called “Mental Health Mondays,” he discussed his own experiences and expressed a desire to help others dealing with depression and other challenges. In a 2023 podcast interview, he described mental health as an important part of his life and said he hoped sharing his experiences could help people who were struggling.

Kaia Gerber has previously discussed the impact of her brother’s struggles on their family, including in an interview with Vogue. Presley’s death has prompted renewed attention to his advocacy for mental health awareness and his career in fashion. His family has asked the public and media to respect their privacy as they mourn his loss.
