Payam Javan: U.S. Special Envoy Steve Witkoff said on Tuesday that President Donald Trump will chair a meeting at the White House on Wednesday dedicated to the situation in Gaza. Witkoff added that Washington expects the conflict between Israel and Palestinian factions in the territory could reach a conclusion by the end of the year.

The envoy’s comments signal a renewed U.S. effort to shape the trajectory of the crisis, as Washington seeks to balance its support for Israel with calls for de-escalation and humanitarian relief. Separately, the State Department confirmed that Secretary of State Marco Rubio will meet Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar in Washington on Wednesday.
